Over last couple of years, the Czech government has been supporting Czech winemakers in many ways, especially through economic diplomacy projects. Thanks to one such project, it has been possible to raise awareness of domestic winemaking also in Canada. A special thanks goes to Brenda and John Steinsky, the Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick, who has from the very beginning been standing behind the introduction, promotion and education about Czech wine in Canada, by helping selected wines be placed in some Canadian provinces.

This mission should be the next step in our efforts. The purpose of this mission is to introduce Czechia as an excellent wine producing country. Our joint effort is to build awareness, brand and interest in Czech wines with the wine experts, publishers and influencers from across Canada by immersing them in wine regions in the Czech Republic.

The goal of the mission is to meet the Czech winemakers, experience their passion and learn more about their winemaking knowledge. During our tour we'll be tasting a range of their unique wines and while the focus will be on wine education and experience, there is no chance of avoiding the surrounding beauty, architecture and cuisine of the Czech Lands which should serve to enhance if not “enchant” the participants.
